Twenty One Pilots: "Clancy" 7th Studio Album

"Clancy" is the seventh studio album by Twenty One Pilots. The name refers to the protagonist of the fictional story set in the dystopian city of Dema, which the band began with their fifth album, "Trench," in 2018. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun preceded the new, 13-track album with three singles. Most recently, the laid-back hip-hop tune "Backslide."

In contrast, the lead single "Overcompensate" leaned more towards Big Beat and almost felt challenging, while "Next Semester" stood out as a fast-paced, rock-oriented tune. What all tracks have in common: Twenty One Pilots deliver their trademark extremely catchy and melodic hooks, especially in the chorus. They undoubtedly have their sights set on the charts.
